Abstract

Abstract

Bamboo resources, the most potential forest resources in the 21^st century, are widely distributed in Asia, Africa and Latin America countries. The development of bamboo forest certification is of great significance in protecting global forest resources, tackling climate change and reducing regional poverty. However, the development of bamboo forest certification is slow in the world, and there exist many problems still in the authentication mechanism, market regulation and consumer guide, etc. This paper aims to analyze the development status quo of bamboo forest certification in the world, to explore its demand and potential, to summarize the existing problems, and to put forward the development trend and suggestions of bamboo forest certification in the future.
