Abstract: 【Objective】With the rapid development of furniture industry, the application of bamboo in furniture is particularly important. With the continuous development of bamboo processing technology and advancement of bamboo modification technology, how to apply bamboo furniture form more reasonably and effectively in furniture design is an urgent problem to be discussed. 【Method】Bamboo is divided into three parts: shape, color and texture according to the principle of form composition, among which "shape" is composed of four parts: point, line, surface and body. Based on the principle of form composition of bamboo, this paper analyzes and considers different forms of bamboo from three emotional design levels: instinct, behavior and reflection. 【Result】On the basis of emotional design, the design of bamboo furniture should be breakthrough in form, innovation in function and novelty in idea. 【Conclusion】Finally, the design elements of bamboo furniture are grasped from the form composition, which provides a new idea for the modern design of bamboo furniture.
